Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I got the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Strips in Frock Star in my Spring Beauty VoxBox from Influenster.  I have to say, I think the formulation got better since I got my first box of these when they first came out.  Although I still wouldnt use them for a full Mani.  I did however use this style on one nail on each hand as an accent.  I would have been more happy if I had gotten the new Plaid pattern, or the I Love Lacy, Love Letter, or All Laced Up pattern.  I found that these are difficult to apply and that you need a TON of patience,  Also I found that they still dont last the full ten days as advertised all over the packaging for these.  the price ranges in different stores from 8.50USD - 9.99USD which I think is a lot considering I can get fantastic nail polishes for much cheaper.  These are good for a touch of flair however and will continue to use them.

TIPS

1. IF YOU HAVE SHORTER NAILS, I SUGGEST CUTTING THEM IN HALF, SO THAT YOU DONT WASTE A LOT OF PRODUCT AND THEY LAST LONGER

2.  DONT KEEP THEM OPEN FOR TOO LONG - THEY WILL DRY OUT

3. SEAL THEM WITH A TOP COAT

4.  IF YOU HAVE A PROFESSIONAL JOB, DO TRY TO FIND A PATTERN OR STYLE THAT CAN BE WORN IN AN OFFICE SETTING, AS MOST OF THE STYLES ARE ON THE TEENY-BOPPER SIDE.

5. STORE THE REMAINDER IN A SECURE AIR TIGHT BAGGIE AFTER THEYRE OPEN - STORE THEM IN A SMALL ZIP LOCK BAG SO THEY WON'T DRY OUT AS QUICKLY

6.  IF YOU HAVE LONGER NAILS, BEFORE APPLYING THEM AND STRETCHING THEM TO FIT YOUR FINGER, WARM THEM UP IN THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS SO THEY MOLD EASIER AND QUICKER TO YOUR NAILS, WITHOUT THEM CRACKING OR WARPING HEAVILY,

7. WIPE YOUR NAILS WITH NAIL POLISH REMOVER TO REMOVE ANY OILS THAT NATURALLY OCCUR ON YOUR HANDS, ALLOWING THE STRIPS TO STICK BETTER!

Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist

Oh, BBW, you've done it again.  You've made me fall in love with you all over again!  This is the second blog review in my Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox!  (In which I also got this AMAZING scent from).  Thank you again, Influenster!

Remember when BBW had the older cilindrical packaging for their body sprays? Then they changed it to an angular shape? Well, they've revamped the packaging again! (And improved their formula ten-fold!)  I recieved the Paris Amour Fine Fragrance Mist.  It smells stronger than the old formula and it lasts so much longer.  The price of this bottle (which is the same size as the older packaging, which was 11USD) is 14USD (I put USD just so my non-American readers know it's in US Dollars).

I think the price is well worth it! Considering it's like a gentler version of Eau Du Toillette.  It's hard to describe what this scent smells like, other than using the words "Delectable" and "OOOOooohhhh", but I digress.  This is an amazing product from BBW and I HIGHLY recommend it.

As some of you may know, I am friends with an Irish Beauty Youtuber, Leanne, and I did a swap with her around this time last year.  In that swap I sent her some of my other favorite scents from this company, as they don't have stores or ship out to Ireland.  I couldn't help but use that opportunity to send her some of the Sweet Pea lotions.  For Crimbo, I sent her another favorite scent, Be Enchanted and Secret Wonderland.  I think that was the second scent, but I am stoked to be able to send her more again within the next few weeks.

Sheer Cover Duo Concealer Review

Thank you to Influenster for letting me try out this product. I received this product in the Spring Beauty VoxBox.  You can buy the Sheer Cover Duo Concealer here

First off I do need to say how DIFFICULT it is to find a great concealer in the right shade! Goodness!  But anyway let's get started:

This concealer by the brand Sheer Cover is probably the best concealer I have tried.  It covers all of my scars and blemishes perfectly.  The downside is, it's too dark and yellow for my skin.  I will be adding a straight white foundation to the product, however, to remedy that situation.

A tip for applying this product is to use a concealer brush.  I highly recommend that as is makes less mess and makes it easier to blend.

Just one other downside is, THE PRICE.  Okay so it's 29.95USD...that isn't the only thing.  It only
comes in a set with 5 other products, but I digress.

BOTTOM LINE
I would recommend this product for those who have a yellow undertone.  The color label Light/Medium (which is what I received) is not true to the product that is applied.  It SHOULD be called Yellowy Medium.  I need a PORCELAIN foundation and that I even have a hard time finding.  It's back to the drawing board for me, but I shall use my Sheer Cover in the meantime with a white foundation.
